Restaurant Review: Yippon
In true Strathclyde University fashion, the next restaurant that I will be reviewing is Yippon. If you attend Strathclyde then I am sure you know of this place, either you have walked past it heading to class or you have stopped in for a spot of lunch at some point.
Located
on 106 George St, Glasgow G1 1RF
Have a look at the menu here https://www.yipponsushi.co.uk/menu
Yippon is one of my
favourite places for a quick meal, it does a lot of similar things to the
restaurant I reviewed before but in a more informal way.
Yippon does a variety of
different sushi’s, bubble teas and staple dished like salt and chilli chicken,
chips etc. Each time I have went to Yippon I have never been disappointed; the
staff are always very friendly and accommodating. So much so that when we were
in lockdown, I would often find myself venturing into the city centre of Glasgow
for my Yippon fix.
As I have spoken a lot about
sushi etc in my last blog entry I want to tell you more about the simpler
dishes that Yippon has to offer.
Although I say simpler, they are in no way any less amazing, When I go I usually get the salt and chilli chicken with rice and curry sauce put into a rather big container, I’ll show you in a picture below what it looks like:
I always find myself going
back for Yippon, whenever I am in uni and its getting close to lunch time it is
the first place I think of, and usually end up in there. I would absolutely
recommend anyone who hasn’t tried it to give it a go or if its been a while and
you’ve forgotten how good it is, its still amazing.
A mention also has to go to
the bubble tea that Yippon produce, if you are into this kind of thing then it
is one of the better ones that you can get. I have tried many places for bubble
tea and Yippon is easily top 3
If walking by, pop in and have
a great lunch.
